Terms of service
The agreement between The Web Plug and a business that hires us. Last checked against the product on 2026-10-21.
What we do
We build a website, host it, keep it updated, and do the small changes you ask for. Which of those you get depends on your plan. We own the code we write and the platform it runs on; you own your domain, your content, your logo and your photographs, and you keep them if you leave.
What it costs, and when it renews
| Plan | Setup, once | Monthly, recurring |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $149 | $59 |
| Growth | $299 | $119 |
| Automation | $599 | $299 |
The monthly fee renews automatically every month until you cancel it. The setup fee is charged once. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before any price change, and you can cancel instead of accepting it.
Cancelling
From Plan & Billing in your portal, yourself, at any time. No notice period, no email required, no phone call, and nobody will try to talk you out of it. Cancelling stops the next charge; the month you have already paid for runs to its end.
Setup fees are not refundable once the work has started, because the work has started. Monthly fees already paid are not refunded, but you keep the service until the period ends.
When you leave, your domain is yours and we will transfer it. Ask for your content within 30 days and we will export it for you.
What we ask of you
- That you have the right to everything you give us to publish — text, photographs, logos, fonts. If a third party comes after us for something you supplied, that one is yours.
- That you do not use a site we host for anything unlawful.
- That you pay. A failed payment pauses the service, it does not end it.
What we do not promise
We do not promise a specific uptime percentage, because we have not measured one we would be willing to be held to, and publishing a number we have not audited would be worse than publishing none. What we do promise is that we watch the sites, we fix what breaks, and we tell you when something went wrong rather than hoping you missed it.
We do not promise search rankings, traffic or sales. Anybody who does is guessing.
The limit on what we owe you
If something we do costs you money, what we owe is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before it happened. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data or indirect losses.
That cap is not a formality and it is worth being straight about why it exists: a small agency cannot carry the downside of a client’s whole business on a monthly fee, and an agreement without a cap is one that would end the agency the first time something went badly wrong. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything the law does not allow to be limited.
Ending it from our side
We can end the agreement with 30 days’ notice, or immediately if a site is being used for something unlawful or is putting other clients at risk. If we end it for convenience we refund the unused part of the month.
